CPG Cooper Square International Equity
seeks to invest in high-quality companies
& short flawed business models outside the US

CPG Cooper Square international Equity employs an investment program substantially similar to Select Equity Group’s flagship international (ex US) long/short strategy, Cooper Square. Using fundamental, bottom-up stock selection, the Fund is designed to provide investors international exposure with the aim of reducing losses in a down market. It has a narrow focus on high-quality businesses domiciled outside the US. The long book will typically be comprised of 40-50 positions culled from a narrow universe of roughly 300 companies that Select Equity Group believes are high quality with predictable earnings growth and strong competitive moats. The short book is comprised of 30-40 issuers, typically companies in shrinking end markets, those losing share to peers and companies that lack pricing power. Following years of international underperformance vs. US equities, and the concentration of US returns in a handful of tech behemoths, the current environment may present attractive ex-US investment opportunities. A major regime shift in global equities, which many consider to be long overdue, may be highly beneficial for the Fund. The Fund represents the first time the Cooper Square strategy is publicly available in a structure designed for investors with less than $5 million in investable assets. The Fund's investment objective is to seek to achieve maximum total return.

Central Park Group, the Fund’s Adviser, and Select Equity Group, the Fund’s Sub-Adviser, are pleased to offer this premier international long/short strategy to high-net-worth clients as well as smaller institutions.

FUND SUB-ADVISER

Select Equity Group, L.P.

Select Equity Group was founded in 1990 on the premise that rigorous, independent research and disciplined, long-term investing will generate superior returns for clients. With more than 150 employees, the Firm manages over $30 billion in long/short and long-only equity strategies that invest in companies across geographies and market capitalizations. Select Equity Group’s investment process is driven by internally generated and researched ideas. The Firm makes almost no use of Wall Street research for long positions and does not actively share insights with other managers. Analysts study value chains, suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers within a specialized area of the economy and across market capitalizations. An internal Qualitative Field Research Team, comprised of ex-investigative and business reporters and sourcing specialists, conducts deep-dive studies on companies, value chains and management teams. This team’s findings, along with those from the Firm’s Data & Analytics team, bolster Select Equity Group’s more traditional financial analysis and help inform long-term theses. Select Equity Group is a research-intensive firm, and the team may study a business for years before purchasing the stock in portfolios; the Firm generally targets a three-to-five year holding period on the long side.
